Sheldon Lavin did not have any experience when he started with OSI Group. He had worked in the finance industry before he came to the company and he knew very little about the food industry. By using the experience that he had in the past with finance, Sheldon Lavin Chairman and CEO knew what he could do with OSI Group. Not only did he do everything that he could to learn about the food industry but he also wanted to make sure that he was making money for the company. He tried to budget things with the company and come up with new ideas. This paid off for OSI Group and it was something that made it easier for them to continue profiting in the food industry.
