Jackson Family Wines was founded by Jess Jackson. Julia Jackson is the youngest daughter of the founder. She began her life by actually picking the grapes even while a very small girl. She has grown to become a spokesperson at Cambria Estates. The Cambria Estate Winery is a non-profit organization geared to utilize and empower women. It was founded by the Proprietors, Julia and Katherine Jackson. This particular winery has pledged and annual amount of $100,000 since November of 2014. The pledges are raised to recognize the potential powerful women in society. Julia has coined the name Warrior Women for these particularly special women.
Julia has earned a certificate in general management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is also a graduate from Scripps College where she earned her BA. By spending time with the French speaking daughter of a winemaker, she has also learned French. Julia has a diverse background in language by becoming a French teacher while attending college. Sonoma County wine is the major wine of Jackson Family Wines since October 6, 2015. Julia has said that the Sonoma brand loves Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with her personal favorite being the Cabernet. At the same time, Acaibo wine from the Trinite Estate Winery is becoming popular in the county.
