Barbara Stokes attended and studied biomedical engineering at Mercer University in the State of Georgia. She also studied many other subjects including manufacturing and management, thermodynamics to mention but a few. She acquired various skills including leadership and management, problem-solving, excellent communication and salesmanship from her institution of learning which she is implementing in the construction industry. GSH organization relief efforts are not limited in the United States, they have also built residential and commercial structures in Northern America.

Barbara Stokes and her team believe that GSH homes are state of the art including the innovative and exceptional safety features designed and engineered in Huntsville. The new homes are equipped with a modern standard automatic fire suppression system. GSH won a new contract worth over 28.5 million with the U.S Homeland Security and FEMA to build ultra-modern homes to help in supporting hurricane relief efforts.
